Among the values that guide us is a respect for the environment and the importance of making a positive contribution to the community in which the company operates.
We are committed to continuously improving how we observe these values in all aspects of the company’s life.
Geothermal heating system
Our production plant located in Borsano (Busto Arsizio) has an internal surface of 5,000 square meters and is heated with a geothermal system.
Energy savings are over 50 percent as compared to the use of a gas-fired system, which means a reduction in emissions equivalent to about 40,000 kg/year of CO2 in the atmosphere.
818 photovoltaic panels generating 390 kW of power have been installed on the rooftop of the production plant in Busto Arsizio.
The photovoltaic system will make it possible to reduce CO2 emissions by 215,000 kg/year (corresponding to 6,500 planted trees/year!) thanks to the production of 402,122 kWh/year of electricity (equivalent to 75 TOE/year).
The water purifier
The water used for the tumbling process is filtered and treated with products that isolate any polluting elements.
The purified water thus obtained is stored in large tanks and re-used. This closed-loop process allows us to save more than 300,000 liters of water per year.
Air management system
An automatic air management and control system (the “Air Manager”) triggers the compressors that give the best guarantee of pressure stability at the desired set point, with lower electricity consumption.
In addition, air tanks have been integrated into the machines in order to stabilise their pressure levels. These interventions have reduced consumption by over 10 percent.
The factory has switched from neon lighting to LED lighting.
This reduces lighting costs by 60 percent.
We recycle by weight about 70 percent of our wood, iron, rubber, and plastic waste, turning it over to specialized recycling companies.
We pay attention to the environmental impact of the products used in our processes and keep hazardous waste below a 2 percent threshold.
A portion of our plastic waste is recycled for the creation of new products, thus furthering the transition to a circular economy.
